Question Can't install mppe (VPN)

I'm using rh 9.0. I want to install kernel-mppe-2.4.20-8.i386.rpm.
I have install kernel before

The error is shown below:

rpm -ivh kernel-mppe-2.4.20-8.i686.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
ppp >= 2.4.2 is needed by kernel-mppe-2.4.20-8

What is this problem ?
How can i install it

The problem is that you need to install ppp before you install the mppe.

you can get the ppp and some helpfull stuff about VPN, on
