Driver is right - r8169, so card should be working. Lets check.

do please, "ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.150 netmask 255.255.255.0" then "ifconfig eth0 up", then "ifconfig", all without " "

Post outputs here.

No, no no

"ifconfig eth0 down"
"ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.150 netmask 255.255.255.0" - you typed wrong netmask (not netmast)
"ifconfig eth0 up"

Where do you connect your ethernet cable - to route, switch, ADSL modem, connect to it.

hello!
Opensuse yast2 is a good place to start with it, sometimes. Just try to configure your network from yast2, if it works then know that
the tool has disabled manual config. sometimes it works.

I suggest to go to http://forums.opensuse.org/, they have a lot of information about nvidia drivers.
That is the best place to find the answer for opensuse.

I don't have nvidia and hadn't chance to play with it and its drivers.

ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.150 - you told eth0 which IP address to use

netmask 255.255.255.0 - you told eth0 which other IP addresses it should be aware of.

ifconfig eth0 up - you activated eth0
