Can't connect to samba useing the netbios name
I connected my linux box as a member server in AD.
I'm using:
Debian 2.6.8
Samba 3.0.14a-1
krb5
winbind
For somekind of reason i get a login screen (saying Incorrect password or unknown username) when i try to connect with \\netbiosname\
but when i connect with \\ipadress\ all works fine. So i don't get a login box because i'm already authenticated to the AD.
Tried a ping to the netbios name and the correct ipadress showed up.
Anyone know what is causing this problem?
is it samba or should i think of DNS/WINS servers that are screwing up for me....
