Can't connect Fedora to wifes USB CX 5400 on XP
My Hunny has a USB Epson CX5400 printer, scanner, copier on her XP machine. I'm running Fedora on my computer. I can see her files from my computer but I'll be darned if I can get the printer to work. I went into services and turned on SMB and even CUPs. When I get the the point of applications/ system settings / Printer.... log in as root and my Printer Configuration screen pops up.
I see under the queue name it says >Browsed Queues. If I hit the > it drops a CX5400 with a description of Shans, who is my wife. When I select Default and then test I get an error, "There was a problem sending the JPEG test to CX5400 queue: lpr: error-unable to print file: server-error-service-unavailable
I see in my services I have these checked and running: acpid; anacron; apmd; atd; autos; cpuspeed; cron; cups;cups-config-daemon; cups-lpd; gpm; haldaemon; iptables; irqbalance; kudzu; Imsensors; mdmonitor; messagebus; netfs; network; nfslock; nifd; pcmcia; portmap; readahead; readahead-early; rhnsd; rpcidmapd; rpcgssd; sendmail; smartd; smb; sshd; syslog; xinetd; yum
can anyone please lead me in the right way of connecting to my hunnys printer. I know I can do it. I had it working in Suse 9.1.
Now that I switched to Fedora I'm having some difficulty but I love a good challenge!
Thanks guys for your help.
