can't configure network via gui

Red Hat 9 - the redhat-config-network script has some errors so I need to configure my network cards manually. But I don' tknow where those files are located.

for example, I do have it setup with a static IP address but my domain name isn't programmed. The static IP part was done on the setup and I guess I missed the DNS part.

Doing a search on "*eth1*" brings up etc/sysconfig/networking/devices and /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default

What is the profiles dir about?

thanks

You should be able to use the netconfig command.

netconfig --help for all the options, should only take a second to do.
