Do you have a network card in your machine? If so, it'd be easier to use that to connect to your gateway rather than the USB port it has. Fedora probably has some kind of graphical tool to configure your network, so find it and use it to enter your settings.

Actually I Need To Configure Using Usb Port.now Can U Help Me.

I haven't found anything helpful via Google so far, I suggest you search as well. There is a forum here, with a subforum for your ISP so it might be worth asking there as well. I had a look and didn't see any posts relating to your modem and Linux, so again, just ask there. What's wrong with using Ethernet though? Network cards are (hopefully) cheap and as I said, it'd be much less problematic getting connected via Ethernet than USB.

Today i run Hardware browser. My device was shown as Modem as well as network device there. Then i opened Network Device Control. My SmartAx was listed there.I enabled the ethernet and it became active. Then i crated an xDSL connection but it didnt started giving error msg - adsl_start: line 217: 1534 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" >/dev/null 2>^1
.When i tried to open http://192.168.1.1 in browser it said "Connection was refused".Any idea now.

Please could you stop posting the same thing multiple times.

You've connected the gateway to your machine via Ethernet, right? You'll have less problems with Ethernet than connecting via USB. The product page says it has a DHCP server, so you could try (as root) "dhcpcd eth0" or "dhclient eth0" (or eth1, etc.. whatever corresponds to the NIC you're using). Hopefully that'll get you an (internal) IP address. Presumably it has some kind of configuration web page, so you'll need to access that and put your ISP account details in there. I can't really be of more help, since Huawei's site only has a quick installation guide and no full manual.

Try running "adsl-setup" and insert values as asked, particularly user name & password given by bsnl. When installed, activate the connection by the command as given at the end of installation.

It worked for me.

Ha Ha wow such a great claim from an enthusisat linux lover my dear if you have had a look on the posts in this community you would have understood what is wrong with Linux and Lancards

just read these threads
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=542725

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=546015

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=542885

If you would have undergone the frustration of making a lan card work in Fedora or Suse you would have not said

the point is not that a person should use Ethernet to use broadband or USB port
why is linux not capable of making the things work where as on the same side windows does and the things work why should the end user suffer the pain to work in frustration
