I was wondering how you browsed your lan in linux? I have not found a way to do it yet. Not just to see my other linux boxes but also to see my 1 XP machine as well.

Depends what linux distro you are using. I use Red Hat & Fedora, in those you can view a number of ways. If you are in the gui you can use the Network Servers link which shows your current network and servers.

Thanks for the info Craig. I am using Mandrake 10 and was unable to find any sorta network browser. I have thought about installing LinNeighborhood.
