bridging wireless device to wired device, with dhcp

Ok guys, I know this can be done but I've no idea how to get it to work. I'm hoping someone here is more experienced with network bridging than I am.

setup:

ath0 (atheros card with wifi access)
eth0 (i think a broadcom)

I want to connect DHCP clients to a switch, which in turn is connected to eth0 on my system that I want to build the bridge on. I want eth0 to have a dhcp server handing out IPs to the clients running as dhcp clients.

Here is what I've done to attempt this:

(ath0 is already conncected and working with wifi, and eth0 is up)

brctl addbr br0
brctl addif br0 ath0
brctl addif br0 eth0
ifconfig br0 up

--obviously im missing something--

Any idea on how to get this to work?
