I am trying to setup bridging on a 300mhz desktop between a public ip scheme and a private one. Both network cards were detected and setup during install. I used the xconfigure to select bridge on the kernel. This is my first attempt at compiling a kernel and I may have done something wrong. I downloaded the BRCFG.tgz into my /usr/sbin. I then ran tar zxvf BRCFG,tgz, next I ran simply "brcfg" to see if it worked and got:
brcfg: Kernel Bridge Module missing.
Does this tell me I messed up the kernel compile?
My network cards are seem to be fine and everything else that I have checked seems to work.
any help is appreciated.
