Boot SuSE 9.2 Live DVD via PXE
Hi,
I'm trying to boot a SuSE 9.2 Live-DVD via PXE. Here is what I accomplished so far: - Configure my DHCP Server - Configure my TFTP Server - Boot a copy of PXElinux via PXE - Boot the "vmlinuz" (kernel) from the Live-DVD - mount the "initrd.gz" as initial ramdisk My problem now is, that when I boot the PC via PXE it loads the kernel and then displays the following errormessages: init: Cannot find the CD I was booted from - doh ! Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! As far as I can tell, PXElinux doesn't load the whole DVD from the TFTP-server but only the kernel. Therefore I tried to also make the DVD available via FTP, but I don't know how to tell the kernel to look for the rest of the DVD on the FTP-Server. (ftp://boot:*******@192.168.137.2) Does anybody know, how I can accomplish this? |
Does anybody have an idea? I'm starting to get desperate...
