bonding primary-backup on redhat 4u5 error

Hi everybody,

I try to configure linux bond on redhat 4 update 5 in order to have a primary-backup configuration but i have an error message.
“duplicate address detected!” and there is another thing that i don’t understand, i configured bonding mode “1” primary-backup but when i check the “proc/net/bonding/bond0” I always have “Bonding Mode: load balancing (round-robin)”.

I took a trace with tcpdump and i saw a lot of tcp duplicate ack package is it normal?

Could you help me please?
