bluetooth woes, any ideas?

I'm trying to get a USB bluetooth device working on my SuSE 8.2 laptop, now as far as I know, the device is seen and is wokring but I am trying to work out how to send and receive files from my mobile.

I've installed bluez and openobex and now trying to install obex-ftp but it just dont seem to want to work, I get errors after running ./configure as follows:

checking for OPENOBEX... configure: error: Package requirements (openobex) were not met:

No package 'openobex' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables OPENOBEX_CFLAGS
and OPENOBEX_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

I'm stuck, help please...

Thanks in advance.

I'd imagine you need the relevant -dev package, assuming you didn't install from source.
