VPN, Postfix, PPTP?

I have been having some issues related to mail. I finally found a solution. I have a windows XP machine that allows me to connect VPN. It is on a remote network

I have Postfix on my local network which currently sends and receives mail using my IP. Unfortunetly my IP is a "dynamic IP address". Which means some servers will block my messages. So what I need is an IP that is not listed. I found a friend that has one and he is willing to allow me to vpn into his network, this will create an interface on my local machine that will be behind an IP address that is not listed.

So my question is this, how do I setup the Linux server to connect via VPN and only ever use the VPN connection when sending emails. I want emails to be recieved on my normal connection but sent via VPN, sent the same way it would normally where it looks up the server, connects send the message and disconnects.
