Question BIND: slave not syncing by notifies

Hi,

My slave dns refuses notifies from its master, so whenever zones are changed on the master it takes about 24 hours for the slave to pick them up. The slave reports the following for each zone to the syslog:

'refused notify from non-master: x.x.x.x', where the x.x.x.x is the ip address of the slave.

Does anyone have suggestions what might be causing this?
