BIND not starting...

I have a problem with BIND starting on my RedHat 7.3 machine. Whenever I type /sbin/service named restart it says:
Stopping named: FAILED]
Starting named: OK ].

It then stops immediately afterwards, or doesn't really start at all. I would also like to note that it cannot start inside of Ensim. I think this might've resulted from when I accidentally chmodded a couple of folders to 755, but if nobody can tell me what the problem is, can someone point me to where the bind error log files are, and where the binaries are?

your log files may be in /var/log
or
/var/log/named
/var/log/bind
/var/log/nameofservice
