best solution for High Availability with 2 ISPs + openvpn

Hi.

Can anyone give me good advice for following setup:

In short I need solution like:

Server has 2 connections from different ISP-s.
active-passive setup. Main ISP connection and backup ISP connection.

Default GW is pointed to main ISP.

If main ISP connection goes down switch default GW to backup connections GW.
Restart OpenVPN

If main ISP connection comes back online change default GW back to main ISP + restart openvpn.

Thanks in advance.

It would help to have details of the ISP connections.

it doesnt matter about the isp. i have a machine with 14 adsl connections all to the same isp. the same machine has 5 other connections, again to the same isp.

For me the question comes down to time (do it yourself - or install a linux router distro) or money (buy a dedcated router)...

OK -- as long as whatever hardware and software is in use allows ping failure as an adequate failure test and does not require any re-initialisation to bring them up again.

EDIT: dunmarie's link suggests it can be done without knowing the hardware and software in use.

Might look at a pre-made setup. Untangle linux and others have this build in as a feature.
