Belkin usb wireless adapter on ubuntu

I just installed ubuntu 8.04 on my emachines computer and it detects the adapter but the adapter wont detect any networks, i think i need the drivers for it. Can someone walk me through how to get them and get them to work on the computer

It would help a lot if you post 'lsusb' output since there are so many chipsets (with various drivers) used by Belkin's products.

And we need also the output of 'ifconfig' as well as 'iwconfig'.
