Hi all;
I just installed Slackware 10.2 and I found out how to get the GUI up - that's all good ... but i don't know how to set up the basic internet connection.

There's one network card (integrated via rhine) and i'm connected to a wrt54g router and want to use DHCP.

There are other machines on the network (connected to the router) ... they are Windows and will not have access to the Linux box.

Before Slackware i had Xandros installed and it auto detected and auto-configured everything (good for a newbie like me) but Slackware didn't and I'm uncertain of how to set it up.

I'll continue looking for information but can someone please provide me with some basic steps to get started or point me in the direction of a step-by-step guide.

I figured it out and it's connected now.

I found this article at the Slackware site and after trying the netconfig command the connection was working.
