bad iptables update

I recently started build a new home server using Fedora. I have had much trouble(but not as bad as in the past) updating the packages using the RHN icon. On the 3rd reinstall because of bad updates I am very close to finishing. I attempted to update “iptables” and received an error during the install. After that I found that the “Network” daemon is gone from services. Networking is not up. My question is how do reinstall the network daemon?

Well I solved my own problem. I booted from the install disk and "updated" the Fedora Core installed on the drive already and it repaired the network. When is Fedora or Redhat or whoever is going to get their updates in order. It's getting better but still a miserable experience.
