Hi everybody,
I'm trying to start my named server, and I get the following error:

Apr 20 11:36:19 sj-linux named[11838]: /etc/named.conf:17: key 'rndc_key': the only supported algorithm is hmac-md5
Apr 20 11:36:19 sj-linux named[11838]: /etc/named.conf:16: configuring key 'rndc_key': bad algorithm
Apr 20 11:36:19 sj-linux named[11838]: loading configuration: bad algorithm
Apr 20 11:36:19 sj-linux named[11838]: exiting (due to fatal error)

The rncd key section on my /etc/named.conf file says the following:

key "rndc_key" {
algorithm "hmac.md5";
secret "c3Ryb25nIGVub3VnaCBmb3IgYSBtYW4gYnV0IG1hZGUgZm9yIGEgd29tYW4K";
};

any hints or advice on this?

Only a guess but "hmac.md5" is not the same as "hmac-md5"
