Question backup unix via network...


dear friends,

i wanna back up my Digital Unix on Alpha Server,

i want backup its scsi hard,

can i do it from network ? and how can i fix a crashed server
with this backup via network ?


please help....

Look for programs like "amanda" and "bakula".
Both are able to backup several machines over the network, even windows machines, to a backup server with a high capacity tape. With some work and the compatible hardware they can work even with a tape changer and bar code readers, for fully automation.
