backup mailserver


Hi all,

How to backup mails on my Linux mailserver.? Do i have to backup all folders under /home ? what about in /var/mail/$user? I want to backup mails via network to my pc (Windows). Any advice appreciated.

It would help a lot if we maybe knew the mailer program you are using and a bunch more detail. Although Linux users are generally amazing, we usually can't read minds.

oops sorry. I *thought* u know it if u read my post. It is clear that i'm using mbox-style mailbox format. My system :

1. OS - Linux Mandrake 10.1
2. IMAP - UW-IMAP
3. SMTP - postfix
