i have an e-mail server runnin POP, and SMTP services now how do i automatically backup all incoming e-mail that goes through my server. i no that i can see the e-mails in the /var/spool/mail directory but if they delete there mail of the server i cant retreve it
What software are you using as your MTA? Sendmail/Exim/Qmail/Postfix?? Whatn you say 'backup' - do you want to take a copy of each mail as it arrives, or are you trying to backup the entire server, including the state of the mail boxes/smtp queue?
