Average speed of network

IEEE 802.11g: Bit Rate=54 Mb/s: I get about 1.4 MB/s
IEEE 802.11b: Bit Rate=11 Mb/s: I get about 659 KB/s

100BaseT : I get about 8 MB/s

I know the reported speeds are only the max potential. But what are the typical speeds that people get over 11g and 11b? I just want to know if I have a problem or if I'm about average.

For 802.11g I get about 1.9 MB/s, for 802.11b I get about 700 KB/s for 100baseT about 8MB/s.
