Smile Autoupdate

hai

I am trying to use autoupdate 3.1.5. But with a little success.

I want my client machine which is running autoupdate to contact only one ftp site.

The client should download rpms from one site say

ftp.abcdef.co.in. Also I don't want the client to

contact redhat r caldera or any other site.

How can I set the configuration/dld file. where should I set the configuration/dld file.I have all the supporting utilities installed .. perl...
libnet...

But still when I try to give autoupdate it says

can't locate Net/FTP.pm in @INC
(@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl15/5.6.1/i686-linux
and some other things)
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/autoupdate line 10.
Line 10 in that file is use Net::FTP;

What should I do.

I am totally confused about this. I use a proxy server to connect to Internet. Does it makes any difference?

Please help me out in this !!!!!

Also let me know how can I ise autoupdate to download & install the rpms. Any specific command.

regards,
adharsh

Sounds like your Perl doesn't contain the Net::FTP module, and this seems to be required by your autoupdate... Have a look for the module on http://www.cpan.org - they're very straight forward to install.

cheers

Jamie...
