you want to look at procmail. the procmailex manpage has lots of useful examples.

does procmail easy to configure?

because i know that u can do neerly everything in sendmail itself...

so you didn't actually bother looking at the man page which tells you how easy it is to use...? it's much easier than sendmail, and sendmail always interacts with procmail, wether you've set up an auto reply or not.

well, i looked around..

i thought that procmail is a big deal so thought to stay with sendmail, but, i think i will start investigating procmail because i have heard that it also can help stopping files like *.exe that r attached to the mail.
what is the best site for procmail hawto?
thanks acid_kewpie

check this thread,

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ight=autoreply

I have used that pack on RH7.0.
It's working ok and is easy to install both on sendmail and procmail.

Hi lamihai,

Do you know or can verify that it works in exim3? I don't use sendmail as mta.
