Authenticating throught MD5 to get on a network

Basically my college uses a MD5-Challenge to authenticate to their network. I can get this to work fine in Windows but I have yet to figure out how to possibly get my Linux Box to authenticate properly.

My question is what is the best way to solve my problem? Through 3rd party software, or if there is already some packages with my distribution of Linux that I could use.

I am running Mandrake 10.0 at the moment. If you need any other information feel free to ask. Also, I'm sorry if this question has already been covered in the past, if so maybe link to that thread or something.

Thanks a ton in advance!
