authenticate samba users using the NIS


Hi I want the NIS and samba password for my users to remain same
i tried running

ypcat passwd | mysmbpasswd.sh >/etc/samba/smbpasswd

but it didn't copy the passwd contents it only copies the user name

Kindly suggest
