ASP on Apache Server

Hi all

The company Im currently working for want to setup a Win2K IIS server to host an ASP Intranet site.

I dont have any real experience of IIS or Apache but I do know that IIS can be a complete nightmare and I would prefer to use Linux and Apache to host the site. Purely because Apache is far more stable and secure.

My question is can Apache host ASP pages or is there a tool I can use to convert the ASP into PHP without affecting the content or layout?????

I heard rumours that someone was developing ASP support for Apache. As far as I know this is (and has always been) vapourware.

I imagine google would be able to tell you if there's an automated ASP to PHP conversion tool.

Regards

If you don't mind paying for a solution, check out Chili!Soft ASP (now renamed SunONE Active Server Pages) at http://www.chilisoft.com/ and http://support.zeus.com/products/v4/chilisoft.html Kind of expensive though (http://www.chilisoft.com/chiliasp/default.asp#price) Try out a 30-day trial and see if you like it (http://www.chilisoft.com/downloads/)
