arping command for IPV6


Could you tell me the the command for arping for IPV6 , as the command "/usr/sbin/arping -c 1 -U -I interface ipaddress" is working currently for IPV4 address by updating the routes outside the network. but this is not happening for IPV6 address.please tell me if there is any special handling for this wrt IPV6 address for arping.

Remember, IPv4 uses ARP, whereas IPv6 uses NDP (Neighbor discovery protocol).
