[SOLVED] arp is not set correctly when seting up PPPoE

Dear all,
I'm trying to setup PPPoE connection to establish my DSL connection, but I got

Code:

pppoe[3885]: read (asyncReadFromPPP): Session 4479: Input/output error
pppd[4104]: Cannot determine ethernet address for proxy ARP

in my sylog file.
When I do pppoe-start, it connected but I cannot ping into any destination (even to my modem in the same network).

DNS servers are explicitly set in pppoe.conf and resolv.conf.

Did I miss anything?

What does nslookup say?

turns out that my PPPoE firewall blocking the traffic, the ARP error message is nothing to do with the problem
