Unhappy Argh! Linux to Linux Printing

Frankly im amazed,

Getting Cups to work with My windows PC's was a treat, took 15 mins and everything works (helped via tons of tutorials and how-to's availible)...

but printing to my linux box from another linux box....thats another story.

Getting cups to work with Linux was a pain (amazingly though that its supposed to be easier, as its supposed to be a (C)ommon (U)nix (P)rinting (S)ystem - yet it works better with M$ (admittadly it needed samba as well) ).

Ok i will not rant too much, but can somone please help me with this, there very little documentation that i was able to find on the net, and after hours and hours of fiddling with configuration files i got my linux pc to see the printer on the server, but now, when i try to print, it keeps telling to me to give a username and password.

No matter how many times i state in my configuration that i dont want authentication i still keeps asking me to authenticate! and even this wouldnt be too bad if i knew what the username and password is. i tried the username and password of every account i know (inc root) and it doesnt work.

Can anyone please help!
