i have followed every instructions i could find on google to tell me how to do this but still nothing, i've posted on linuxquestions before with problems about my samba PDC but no one seams to know anything about it so i'm trying one final time, please tell me what i'm doing wrong. i'm just slackware 10.0 and samba 3.0.10 and i see some mention to openLDAP i havn't got it install on my slackware box yet, but if you know of a way to making it work with openLDAP i'll look into that next, but any help you can offer is great.

well it's been a while scence i made this post and i've moved onto thinking about other things, but i have kept samba PDC's in my mind, i just havn't had the time to really look at policies, but to the best oy my knowledge you cannot apply GPO's to an 2000/XP machine with samba primary domain controller.

But i do think that looking into LAM/OpenLDAP/Samba PDC might bring you some answers. Once again, i'm not sure about this as i havn't had the time to look into it, but, i think that by using OpenLDAP and LAM you can assign your domain users to local groups and then edit the local policies of these local groups, i think.

check out my website listed below for information on setting up OpenLDAP/LAM/Samba as a PDC
