Apaches dont provides images

Hi all I have set up a virtual apache server for my site
The site works perfect but it doesnt provide images
I have set images permissions to 777 but stil not working

[root@skia]# ls -l images/stories/agioi/17mar.jpg
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3738 Mar 17 09:11 images/stories/agioi/17mar.jpg
[root@skia]# pwd

The requested URL /images/stories/agioi/17mar.jpg was not found on this server.

Are you sure your server works at all? The links in your article were dead when I tried them. Can you post the HTML code that provides the inline image links?
