Apache2 segfaulting

I have Apache 2.0.58 running on Gentoo Linux and every few hours it just stops sending data to connections.

I get this in my Apache error log:
Code:
[Mon Jul 10 11:01:52 2006] [notice] child pid 25445 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
[Mon Jul 10 11:15:39 2006] [notice] child pid 29805 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
The shortest it lasted without dying is about a hour while the longest is roughly 5 hours.
(Thats based off a graph of queries to my database server)

What can cause that and how can it be solved?

I is most probably because of some module you have compiled into apache. Get apache to create core dump files and find out where the crash occured using gdb.

See http://httpd.apache.org/dev/debugging.html
