apache2: "Could not reliably determine" gibberish as IP address!

Folks, when starting apache2, I get the "could not reliably determine server's fully qualified domain name..." with 0.42.104.53 as the server name! After searching for this, I find EVERY solution says the same thing, to add ServerName entry to httpd.conf. I have done this, and STILL get that response on start. Also, periodically (every 60 seconds) a reverse DNS lookup is done with this gibberish IP. This is apache 2.2.13 and tomcat 6.

What did you add as the "fully qualified domain name"?

FQDN

Thank you for replying, and I am glad to see your subject because the FDQN was something I did not understand. What I thought was needed was for my local host to have a FQDN, so I supposed it did not matter. So the entry was "127.0.0.1 localhost waldo.mysite.com". I thought that because all the replies to the "could not reliably..." thread said that. I look forward to having that cleared up. There was a 192.x.x.x address as well, my IP on our LAN, but I did not try that.
