Apache webserver questions

Hi there. I would like to ask someone for a help with Apache webserver. The webserver is running on my LAN without any problems. But I don't know how to "transfer" my registred domain www.linuxpc.org (still running from webhosting provider) to my local LAN webserver. I know that it has to do something with DNS but I don't know what a how to setup it up.
Thanks for help to all of you friends.

Filip

OK, it works now. Can anyone help me please to edit httpd.conf file to recognize the www.linuxpc.org instead of ip number address? When I type the domain name in webbrowser it redirects it correctly to my webserver but than it shows ip numbers instead of www.linuxpc.org domain. Thanks.

Hi..

U can shift the entire domain or only u can shif the A records for ur webserver.

If u have permanent connectivity and Valid Address then change the NS entrires from the registrars to ur valid IP address. refer DNS howto to configure the DNS servers

There is a TAG in httpd.conf

#ServerName localhost

So make it as

ServerName linuxpc.org

And restart your http server..and make sure that your linux.org host point towards your webserver.
