Apache Server not responding to 127.0.0.1

Hello,

I am new to Linux and have recently installed Suse 10. When I access the Apache Server using http:/127.0.0.1 then it works fine. However, when I try to use https:/127.0.0.1, it returns an error message. I have enabled the ssl support and have made the changes as suggested in /usr/share/doc/packages/apache2/README.QUICKSTART.SSL. Further, the Apache server starts fine with /usr/sbin/rcapache2 startssl. Then how comes the browser cannot establish an ssl connection. The error message I get is 'The connection to the local server has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been transferred'

Regards.

PS: I have used single / insteaf of // becuase the forum does not let me put two of them

There's an Apache SSL howto here at http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...ache_SSL_Howto which may help. If not, can you post any entries in your access and error logs from starting Apache?
