Apache sa a audio/video streaming server


Can somebody help me, how to setup Apache as audio/video streaming server?

Basically, if you want to set up Apache as an audio/video streamer, then just put the audio/video files in your htdocs folder (or a subfolder within it) and you're done! Possibly create an index.htm page with links to each one... There are also much more complicated ways (real streaming), but for that follow this link:

Why don't you do something much simpler, though? Use VLC! VideoLan Client will make it awesome to stream both audio and video, and there's a brilliant article on it here.

Cool If some one ends up here

I used this guide for Jinzora


for VLC

The difference is Jinzora can't encode subtitles. and i can't password protect the VLC streamer

Hopes it is needy
