This might not be the most secure suggestion, but can you make a sym link from the virtual server home to your /var/cgi-bin directory, then run all cgi's from there?

<VirtualHost caesar.globbb.com>
ServerAdmin dad@globbb.com
ServerName caesar.globbb.com
ServerAlias caesar
DocumentRoot /www/caesar
<Files *.cgi>
SetHandler perl-script
</Files>
</VirtualHost>

why doesn't that work??. I have too many cgi's to have them all pooled into one directory from many differen't hosts. This new version of apache is makeing me pull my hair out.
