Apache ProxyPass/VirtualHost question

Hey,

I have a main server running apache on linux and my windows machine with a small webserver on it. I have set up the following in httpd.conf

ProxyPass /files http://192.168.1.0/files/

now, this works fine and dandy but instead of accessing this by http://www.mydomain.com/files/ i would LIKE to do it like this http://files.mydomain.com. What is the simplest way to do this? I tried making a folder with a index.htm with a javascript redirect to the ProxyPass url that was setup as a VirtualHost but i'm sure there is an easier way.

Any suggestions?

If you want, check out this link--> http://httpd.apache.org/docs/vhosts/ its where i started.

If you want this to be your main site then make it your DocumentRoot in the config file httpd.conf.

It's not really necessary to have a Virtual host for one site. All connections to your server that do not provide a folder or filename will land there.
