Apache ProxyPass/VirtualHost question

I have a main server running apache on linux and my windows machine with a small webserver on it. I have set up the following in httpd.conf

ProxyPass /files

now, this works fine and dandy but instead of accessing this by i would LIKE to do it like this What is the simplest way to do this? I tried making a folder with a index.htm with a javascript redirect to the ProxyPass url that was setup as a VirtualHost but i'm sure there is an easier way.

Any suggestions?

If you want this to be your main site then make it your DocumentRoot in the config file httpd.conf.

It's not really necessary to have a Virtual host for one site. All connections to your server that do not provide a folder or filename will land there.
