Apache problem - httpd won't start.

Hey people... I just installed Apache, just to test some stuff on. The install went ok, but when I try to start it...
# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start
# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl: httpd could not start

So I looked at the error log...

[Sun Dec 23 13:38:43 2001] [alert] (22)Invalid argument: setgid: unable to set gid
[Sun Dec 23 13:38:44 2001] [alert] Child 522 returned a Fatal error...
Apache is exiting!

Any help appreciated.. thanks.
Btw, I'm running Mandrake 7.1...

I don't know if it will work with your Mandrake but in red hat you do this to start apache

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart

(use restart just to be save if its running)

for /etc/rc.d/initd/httpd restart you can use :
service httpd restart

works a little faster
