apache: location in location

I have two locations, one "inside" the other:

/outerlocation
/outerlocation/innerlocation

How do I have to set configurations for them?

Code:

<Location /outerlocation>

     <Location /innerlocation>
     </Location>

</Location>

Or like this?

Code:

<Location /outerlocation>
</Location>

<Location /outerlocation/innerlocation>
</Location>

And how do authentication options affect them?

All options for an outer directory affect an inner directory unless otherwise specified. In other words, if you require basic authentication for /outer, then /outer/inner needs it too.

Your second example is the correct one, I believe.
