Question Apache is not working right need help plz any one


OK
i am useing Apache version 2.0.44 and i can connect 2 it on on my linux box and over my LAN on win xp but i can connect 2 it over the net

eg.

when i am on mu linux box (server) i type in http://192.168.0.1
and that works fine and i do then same thing on my other comp over the me LAN
then i try 2 do it over the net i type in http://blablabla my local address from me isp and it don't work but when i type in my local adders on my LAN or me server comp it works
so....
i am stuffed i have try ed every thing
and even if some one will give me some tips on how 2 use Apache it would b a bog help

Does your ISP block port 80? Do you have a firewall running? Do you have port 80 forwarded on your router?

ummm
no fire wal running and my ISP dont block port 80 and in am on dail up if thats any help

Are attempting to type in your IP or a domain name? And if your on dialup, I assume you have others on your Local LAN sharing the connection thru ICS, if that is the case, the machine you dial with to connect, are you forwarding port 80 and http requests to the machine hosting the site?

how do i no that i am forwarding port 80 and if i am not how do u do it?

Also in the future try to give as much details as possible, so it limits our own probing and you can get an actual answer fairly faster.

What OS are you using to share the connection? If its Windows, I have no idea. If its Linux, setup IPTABLES or the such to forward the request, etc.

i am on mandrake linux and linux is shareing my connection and i dont no how 2 use IPTABLES
