I have a home network of old machines all running Ubuntu 10.04. At present all have access to the web via a wireless router. What I would like to do is to restrict access to the web to one machine and use one of the others as an apache server which can contact the whole LAN including the internet accessible one. Can I achieve this using the current router. While I am not a complete novice, I have little experience with networking, so a fairly detailed procedure would be appreciated.

I don't see how this relates to a router at all. Apart from needing to make your router block web traffic from certain internal machines, it doesn't seem to have any role to play here.

Thanks acid_kewpie
I did not realise it could be that simple.
Thanks too for the rapid response. I can continue "fidddling"- sorry - experimenting now!
