Apache

Hello,

I have downloaded and installed Apache on my PC, I am running the Fedora
Core.
When I typed in localhost in Mozilla ( or any browser ) I got The default
Apache/Fedora web-page. I commented out the code in the welcome.conf file ( see below ).
I placed my index.htm page into the " /var/www/html/ " directory.
Now what comes up is a directory tree ( like I have see on many different sites ) that has all my pages in there ( you can browse to them also ) and says apache at the bottom.

How do I may my index.htm page come up instead of this page?
Here is the relevant excerpt taken from the
default Fedora/Apache page:

You may now add content to the directory /var/www/html/. Note that until
you do so, people visiting your website will see this page, and not your
content. To prevent this page from ever being used, follow the
instructions in the file /etc/httpd/conf.d/welcome.conf.

Thanks in advance if you can help,

Aaron

All it needed was index.html, even thought the rest of the site has .htm extensions it still navigated fine after I changed the index.htm to index.html , sorry I should have caught that one before posting it ( I have been setting my PC w/ Fedora core up as a server - using apache - for the past two nights and I am tired )
