it still doesn't work. I've tried:

/etc/init.d/apache2 start
rcapache2 start
apache2ctl start

from yast i get the following:
---
/etc/init.d/apache2 start returned 7 (program is not runnning)
starting httpd2 (prefork) .. failed
---
they all failed.

I've set it up to start at boot time, but it fails!! why ? is it possible that my 80 port is blocked by another program or something. i've also set up apache to adapt my firewall settings.

Hello

I got the same, soultion is to disable the Modules, who Apache try to load, but who are still unconfigured.

You can do that in YaST or directly in /etc/sysconfig/apache2

SSLSessionCache is one of the Modules you need to disable. (or configure before use)

Good luck

Johann
