apace proxy problem


Dear all

After adding one line my httpd.conf iam getting the message from the client machine

Access forbidden!
You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster
Error 403
www.google.com

the line i added in httpd is

ProxyBlock mail.yahoo.com.

please help me

i want to block particular sites only not the ip address of the client. please guide me how to do

hello hariiyer,
to block particular sites iŽd use the proxy server squid with addition squidGuard.
in the squidguard.conf you can configure domains/urls/expressions you want to block.

install squid (if its not running by default) and squidguard, then edit the following line in squid.conf:

redirect_program /usr/local/bin/squidGuard -c /etc/squid/squidguard.conf

to activate squidguard.
under /var/spool/squidGuard/db/blacklist/ are the db-files with the restrictions.
