anyone heard of this error while starting LimeWire?
I got this error under Mandrake and not under RedHat.:
STARTUP ERROR
Java version 1.3.1_02 from Sun Microsystems Inc.
Linux v. 2.4.8-34.1mdk on i386
Free/total memory: 1293760/66846720

sounds like you don't have enough ram. are you running different windows managers in red hat and mandrake?

Don't know, but here is my system specs:
EPOX 8KHA+
Athlon XP 1700+ @ 1900+
256MB RAM PC2100 DDR
Gainward GF3

About the window managers, i just use KDE Desktop and thats it. I dont use GNOME or Natulis.

Ok!!! it magically fixed itself after i deleted it completely, and reinstalled logged in as root.
