Another very basic question - I assume


How do I view the network properties from the console on RedHat 7.1?

what sort of properties are you after?

'ifconfig' lists the state of your network interfaces, IP etc..

'route' will list your network routing, gateways etc...

anythign you're after inparticular?

uname -n

will show the node name

I'm not sure about RH 7.1, but in earier versions you could type "control-panel" at the prompt to view/configure a number of ppoperties, including networking.
